This Privacy Policy describes how Me To Your Code ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the M2Y POS mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Phone Number — used for OTP-based login via Firebase Authentication
- Restaurant Details — name, address, GST number, UPI ID entered by you in Settings
- Menu Data — dish names, prices, categories you create or edit
- Order History — billing records, payment methods, order amounts
- Payment Information — Razorpay payment IDs for subscription verification (we do not store card numbers or UPI credentials)
- Device Information — device type, OS version, for crash reporting and compatibility
2. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you securely via OTP login
- To store and sync your menu, orders, and restaurant data across sessions
- To process subscription payments via Razorpay
- To generate bills, reports, and Excel exports for your business
- To provide offline functionality by caching data on your device
- To improve app performance and fix bugs
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore, a cloud database provided by Google LLC. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Some data is also cached locally on your device to support offline usage. We do not store any payment card details, UPI PINs, or banking credentials. All payment processing is handled by Razorpay under their own privacy and security policies.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:
- Firebase (Google) — Authentication, database, cloud storage
- Razorpay — Payment processing for subscriptions
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with any third party except:
- Firebase and Razorpay as described above (to provide core app features)
- When required by law or legal process
6. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request data deletion, we will remove your data from our Firebase database within 30 days. Cached data on your device is cleared when you uninstall the App.
7. Your Rights
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Export your order history (available via Excel export in the App)
8. Children's Privacy
M2Y POS is designed for restaurant and shop owners. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission, Firebase security rules, and OTP-based authentication. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
